The sound of ‘c‘ is soft when followed by an ‘e‘ ‘i‘ or ‘y‘ For example:

ice, slice, juice, spicy, city, race, twice, place, mice, circus, cycle, bicycle and so more. I made a sentence with the word bicycle 🙂
